It's very odd because I don't try. I use to try years and years ago to have lucid dreams to no avail which was very disappointing. Now suddenly they are occurring out of the blue.
I tend to remember my dreams so I can't say they are completely lucid in their entirety. To describe the change would be to say I can now read, which is something you can normally not do in dreams. My first lucid experience was placing my hand against a painted door and how the paint was laid on just as thick as it was in reality and how I was really touching it and that it was not a dream. It didn't feel like a dream because I could feel it. That is how it really feels if you touch it. Does that make sense?
They have just continued on from there.

Re: My dreams have become lucid recently
Mon, June 1, 2009 - 3:53 PMsome lucid dreams, i found from my experience are as real, if not more "real" than the waking life. others not so much hah. you felt the door and took note how real it felt- that's a great leap! Although it started to get a little weird for me when it became "too real" for a dream : i felt electricity, pain, burning..but also euphoric like feeling of love and light! -

Re: My dreams have become lucid recently
Mon, June 1, 2009 - 7:16 PMAt this point I don't know whether I should push it further or just allow things to naturally happen.
All those years when I was younger I tried to push myself to have lucid dreams to no avail and then suddenly for no reason they are becoming lucid, though I know it is only the first steps in how lucid they can actually become. -

Re: My dreams have become lucid recently
Tue, June 2, 2009 - 8:09 AMi personally handle this differently than a lot of people..
i just work to become more conscious when i am awake, through various spiritual practices and let the dream life expand as it will--and it does dramatically change as a result..
