hi!
k i'm just up from chillin out in a dark room a while with the music on.. n after realisin how totally short attention spanned i am :D - THE most random yet distinct imagery poppin up all over the place [like who are these photos of type thing] n then fiiiiinallyy a bit of a sequence strings together.. pretty fluidly infact yea kinda zoning in and out of synchronicity with the songs..
just wanted to check out whether that is lucid dreaming or just imagining..? was hoping someone could answer that
i mean once last year i for sure no doubt i astral travelled it was another planet oh actually make that twice like woah nuh that was totally different similar type thing but was not a planet..
but the kind of thing that i was just doing isn't like these two were..
anyway i can sort of 'steer' all these experience.. but sometimes it just kinda does its own thing..
err does this make sense?

many people define the term differently, but for me:

its when you are sound asleep and experiencing a dream sequence where you are just as conscious as you are now...or perhaps even more conscious...

technically, the first person that coined the term 'lucid dreaming,' used it to describe dream experiences when a person 'knew' they were asleep and dreaming....

you were asking about the term lucid dreaming, but there semi-conscious visionary experiences can be of two natures...created by your own imagination, or actual experiences created outside of your consciousness...

the deeper you experience those, the more relaxed and grounded into the experience you become, the easier it will be for you to tell the difference....that just takes time to develop the ability..

i kinda summed it all up a bit haphazardly but i have several sets of experiences i gotta discern..

the first one bein the thing that happened like the other night.. yep it seems as though it's coming AT me from elswhere.. like the most clear images of people, photographs.. like a shot of a woman kneeling by her daughter.. lookd about the 1970s.. i was lke hmm weird next image was about to come up but i thought nah wait i'ma try somthing so i reverted.. n refocused my lense.. found i could make out sh had a bag on her shoulder.. thre was a car in the backgound.. like weird huh. so that happens a fair bit, now i know i can focus on it rather than just lettin it pass.. but it is a still, not an event or anything. and this is a family i've nver seen in my life.. i wasn't around in the 70s for starters..
and then after that wasthe sequence thing where i was kinda animating a cartoon character to th e sound of the music.. except if i wasn't going like "okay now slide down that pile of rubbish and rip it up on the guitar" it would do its own thing like on autopilot
          arghhhh heheh soo weirdddddddd

and then when i kinda lost control of the character it kinda 'skips' n then i made it spin out n smash its guitar before lettin it go n do its own thing.. skitzy
            anywayyyyyyyy :D

              yes, that's how it works..

you can't always understand everything that is presented, but there is usually some kind of connection to the visions received, even if its for someone else that you know...

"i think it must have just been my imagination..."

I have been shown the matrix of "imagination" and it is alive and conscious. A sub god or realm.
All we have to do is "tune" our frequencies of creation/creativity with the "field" of imagination to crystalize form in this dimension. This includes the dreams and visions we receive.

Modern dogmatic thought has re-programmed us to dismiss imagination.
                  It is alive!!!

Another term/handle/concept that would apply is "Hypnogogic imagery." It is that realm between sleep and conciousness where many images images emerge in rapid succession. It is usually experienced just before we enter deep sleep and can be a portal to lucid dreaming.
