I've had a few totally lucid dreams in the past but recently I've been getting more and more of dreams where I have some control but am not totally lucid.
I'm aware that I'm dreaming, yet the perception is not as realistic and vivid, it's more like that of regular dreams. I can't change the scenery or do impossible things such as flying, but I do and can get people to do things they normally wouldn't.
I don't wake up (unless I want to) and usually slip back to regular dreams, then back into half-lucid, and so on.

Re: half-lucid dreams
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 3:58 PMI call these semi lucid dreams . . . the key here is remembering previous instructions to yourself, such as relaxing, not showing fear or self doubt, and asking for the message rather trying to control the dream. I have learned over a period of time that I can control my dreams, but so what? . . . more importantly is why do I have these experiences? During he last lucid dream I experienced body separation, left my room, flew around for a while and then started loosing momentum as I ran out of things to try . . . but as soon as I gave myself over and asked (God, the Universe, guides, whatever) what they wanted me to learn or experience, I immediately went into a full blown astral experience . . . there was still a dream scenario as I was taken through a series of lessons and understandings, but I was still in full control and the dream shifted with my thoughts and questions, so I was fully participating . . . -

Re: half-lucid dreams
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 4:16 PMthere are some dimensions where we can have absolute control and there are many other dimensions that are co-created...
in those realms, things can exist only with Divine blessings... -

Fri, March 21, 2008 - 8:19 PMAuto pilot, I like that... I dig the semi-lucid dreams as well, there's a little more spontaneity to them. More surprises. -

Re: half-lucid dreams
Sat, March 29, 2008 - 12:57 PMyeah, these are fun experiences. just goes to show that there isn't one kind of "lucidity" that is switched off or on like a switch. its more like a spectrum of awareness.
Ed Kellogg has a good article where he explores this idea: www.improverse.com/ed-artic...index.htm -

Its amazing how many levels of lucidity one can have. I wonder how many levels I have yet to experience? I'm ready, so bring it on.
