I'v been finding myself able to change things I don't like in my dreams lastly. For instance, in my last dream an insect sat on my palm and stang me. The venom began to dissolve my hand like some kind of acid and it burned out a small hole.
I was scared at first but then it occurred to me that it doesn't have to be that way and I can stop and undo it with the force of my mind. So I "shook it off" and the wound healed quickly. It's worth noting that I never got lucid. I continued to dream the regular, non-lucid dream. Some time later I was posing for pics of me with 4 naked girls and the camera with the pics got stolen. Then again I somehow undid the theft. Can't remember how I did it but it was like I convinced myself that the theft hadn't happened.
Another trick was that the girls were not too resistant. I thought it would be interesting to make them relatively submissive without robbing them of all their free will, and made them so. I could get them to get naked for the pics but couldn't have sex with them. Had they been so easy it would have been boring, lol.
I'm getting more and more able to do those tricks and it's way cool, even better than lucid dreaming which I haven't had much luck with.
I don't have to control every bit of the scene, just let everything go naturally and only intervene when needed.
The most fun is when you create a character to your liking and let them act their way, say a girl who is into you but doesn't give up easily and teases you and stuff.
The invervention is kind of uncomfortable, it detracts from the pleasure of dreaming, makes the dream less of a live experience and more of a technical, emotionless thing. That's a good protection against abuse.

Re: control the degree of control
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 11:33 PMHave you ever had a dream in which you've met other people who were such fully complete presences in themselves that you felt convinced, even after you woke up, that they were actually separate individuals who were not entirely created in your own mind? -

Re: control the degree of control
Mon, April 14, 2008 - 4:55 AMHmm, I never think of it in such terms. I believe the dream world is no less "real" than the ordinary reality. So, in a sense, all dream characters are separate individuals. This doesn't mean they're not created in my mind. It depends on how you look at it. From the solipsist POV everything is a product of your mind.

Re: control the degree of control
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 12:25 AMdefinitely. I once dreamed I gave my email address to some folks in the dream with me, I couldn't help but wonder once I woke up if I'd be hearing from them.. -

Re: control the degree of control
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 2:52 PMi think they can be both--created by your imagination and separate 'real' entities....
and that they are most often individual souls that are separate from yourself....its a concept that has been fully proven to me, over the years...
they've told me information about themselves that i would not otherwise have known..
and i've also reached states of consciousness that are so high, there's just no doubt....its like you step out the illusion altogether, and see 'reality' for what it is--you become more conscious than you are currently in this moment.. :o
