My first lucid dream involved taking the form of superman (perhaps to justify to myself the total power I suddenly found myself with, and the natural flight) and it was an amazing experience but one part became more and more significant to me I've ventured further into dreaming since then, about one year ago.
I remember contemplating to myself that the manifestations I was making were beautiful yet I was beginning to already feel a bit disenchanted by the way the story was playing out. I was not accustomed to a landscape I had to control so heavily to see. Perhaps the effect of having to 'Think' everything before it was in front of me was too contradictory to actual reality for me to handle, but I focused and as Superman I sat there on the ground and meditated in a somewhat stereotypical sitting position (I've actually never meditated in real life)
I knew what I wanted, something that seemed external, outside my control, so as to spice up the story. And so I envisioned a robot that took a semi-human form. Only one powerful leg, one arm, blocky metal parts to balance the form and a laser eye mounted on the shoulder opposite of his arm. I opened my eyes and it was in front of me. Then it attacked me immediately. We fought in the air like a classic comic book fight and he bested me forcing me into wakefulness upon its victory. I've never been able to remember a lucid dream as of yet where I was so involved and aware of the level of control going on.
Hi! I'm red and I'm new to tribes.
And have I got a dream for you.

Re: The Spectrum of control in lucid dreaming, my first lucid dream
Sat, December 8, 2007 - 6:05 PMWelcome to the tribe! :o)
Isn't it great to have control in dreams? I often change my dreams while I'm dreaming to make them more pleasurable for myself, too. The wonderful thing is not having to suffer through nightmares (since you can change them in midstride). -

Re: The Spectrum of control in lucid dreaming, my first lucid dream
Sat, December 8, 2007 - 6:47 PMnightmares aren't even nightmares any more.
they're just dark,
and I find my soul is always somewhere observing, laughing,
nothing ever disturbs me...
even when i'm not lucid
my consciousness knows no fear.
always in awe,
never running from a saw wave.
FUCK I LOVE DREAMING GOODNIGHT
